About McCormick Cinnamon Ground 39g
Our Story:
Willoughby M. McCormick started the business in Baltimore at age 25 in 1889. From one room and a cellar, he sold his initial products door-to-door which included root beer, flavouring extracts, fruit syrups and juices. Seven years later, McCormick bought the F.G. Emmett Spice Company and entered the spice industry. In 1903, Willoughby and his brother Roberdeau incorporated the company in Maine; they reincorporated in Maryland in 1915.
With a history of more than 100 years, in more than 170 countries, people know our brands at first sight—and taste. As a global leader in flavour, we continue to expand our portfolio to meet the evolving tastes and needs of consumers around the world.
Product Description:
One of the world’s oldest spices, cinnamon is also one of the most popular ̶ and for good reason! It brings deep, warm sweetness to so many dishes ̶ from cookies, pies and coffee to sweet potatoes and spice rubs.
Usage Tips:
Cinnamon is a much more versatile spice than you might think. Sure, it lends a warm, sweet aroma and sunny character to everything from morning toast and cinnamon rolls to spiced cookies. But this earthy, mahogany-colored spice also has a savory side. Middle Eastern lamb and chicken dishes wouldn’t be the same without its irresistible richness and heat. One of the world’s oldest spices, cinnamon is also one of the most popular—and for good reason! Sprinkle it on your morning cappuccino or use it to spice up your favorite chili recipes. We think your nose is the best guide to determining whether a bottle of cinnamon is fresh. It should smell warm, rich and sweet, like a cinnamon cookie just out of the oven.
