What nutritionist says:
Did you know that there are 2 types of cinnamon? The cinnamon powder that most of us are familiar with and that is usually found in the market is actually called Cassia cinnamon. It is a little different from Ceylon cinnamon which is sometimes known as “True Cinnamon”. Ceylon cinnamon is considered higher in quality and has a more sweeter and delicate taste. It has more health benefits and is also less toxic. Cassia cinnamon contains coumarin, which is toxic to the human liver and kidneys when taken in large amounts. Therefore, it is much safer to consume Ceylon cinnamon.
